Silent Disco Rentals was founded by two best friends with a passion for music and unique experiences. In 2018, we wanted to organize a silent disco party for our friends, but there were no affordable options to rent the headphones.

Instead, we purchased the equipment with the goal of not only hosting an unforgettable party, but to also allow others to rent the headphones easily and affordably. Since then, Silent Disco Party Rentals has grown into a thriving business that provides high-quality silent disco equipment and entertainment to individuals, businesses, and events across Southern California.

Our mission is to make renting silent disco equipment easy, affordable, and stress-free for our customers. What is a silent disco?

A silent disco is an innovative party concept where attendees wear wireless headphones all playing the same music, with an option to switch between multiple channels, each playing a distinct playlist, DJ or music genre. The headphones change colors according to the chosen channel, facilitating easy identification of fellow dancers sharing the same musical vibe. With silent discos traditional speakers are not required, enabling late-night or outdoor events without disturbing others, making them a versatile and inclusive entertainment option.

What kind of events are silent disco headphones used for?

Silent disco equipment can be used for a variety of events, including:

1) Outdoor Parties: Enjoy music without noise restrictions in open spaces like parks, backyards, or beaches.

Do your headphones come with multiple channels?

Yes, our headphones are compatible with up to three channels if you want to provide your attendees different music listening options. Or you can use only one or two channels if preferred

Do your headphones light up / change colors?

Our headphones light up when turned on and change colors based on which channel they are on. The color options are blue, red and green

How is music played in the silent disco headphones?

We provide transmitters that transmit music to our wireless headphones. Music can be played through the transmitters using any music playing device, including smartphones, iPads / tablets, laptops, or DJ equipment, and we will provide all the necessary cords do do so. Additionally, music can be played using DJ equipment.

Are the songs pre-programmed, or can they have their own playlist?

Songs are not pre-programmed or preset. Instead, you have the freedom to play your own music or playlists through any music playing device: smartphone, tablet, laptop, etc.

Do you provide DJs?

Our DJ services are available at a rate of $150 per hour, with a minimum booking requirement of two hours. We provide quality DJs who know how to get the party going! Alternatively, music can be played through the headphones with any music playing device: smartphone, laptop, tablet, etc.

Do the headphones need to be charged? How long do they last?

The headphones come fully charged and last for 8-10 hours. If you need the headphones for longer, we can include a headphone charger with your rental, free of charge.

Do I have to pay for multiple days of rentals even though I’m only using the equipment for one day?

Customers don’t have to pay for multiple days of rental, even if they’re using it for just one day. For example, if the event is on a weekend, they can have the equipment over the weekend at no additional charge.

Does the equipment require wifi?

Music can be played from any music playing device. As long as the device has a data plan or music downloaded to the device, the equipment can work without wifi.

How do I get the equipment from you?

We offer free equipment pick up and drop off in your local area. Alternatively, we provide delivery and pick up services for an additional charge, typically between $50 - $200 depending on the location.

How much will it cost if they add an additional transmitter?

Additional channels / transmitters can be added for $25 per channel. Customers can have up to three channels total.

Does Silent Disco Party Rentals offer someone to set up the silent disco equipment and manage it throughout the event?

The equipment is easy to use, and we will provide instructions in-person to show you how to set it up. We do provide onsite staff who can assist in setting up and handling the equipment for an additional charge.

How does the DJ set-up work?

The DJ set up works similarly to any other music playing device. The DJ will connect to the transmitter with either an RCA to RCA cable or RCA to ¼” aux cable. Please be sure to communicate to our Customer Service team that you are using DJ equipment so we can ensure you are set up properly.

Does the DJ just play the songs or can he have a microphone setup?

The DJ can have a microphone set up and do a shoutout during the event.

What can onsite staff do?

Onsite staff can assist in setting up the equipment / music, distributing and collecting the headphones, and sanitizing the headphones.

When is the best day to pick up the equipment?

We offer flexible pick up and drop off, and typically allow customers to pick up 1-3 days before their event. Customers do not incur any extra charges for having the equipment multiple days. Ultimately, pick up dates and times will be coordinated with the Onsite Equipment Handler.
